THE ORIGINAL MUSICIANS OF ELVIS & DENNIS JALE

These fantastic musicians and special guests await you on board!

Paul Leim

The drummer, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, is now one of the world’s top 10 drummers and has been the go-to drummer for stars, TV shows, and films for over 40 years. He has laid down the beat on super hits by Shania Twain, Kenny Rogers, Barry Manillow, Faith Hill, Diana Ross, Whitney Houston, Patrick Swayze, and Lionel Richie, as well as on 25 Grammy Award-winning albums. Paul has also performed live with Tom Jones, in the big-screen show “Elvis the Concert,” with Neil Diamond, and with Lynda Carter.

Bobby Ogdin

Elvis Presley’s very last pianist – who played a total of 47 concerts with Elvis in 1977, including the King’s final concert. Robert Ford Ogdin (born September 1945) is a Nashville-based studio pianist. He is best known as a member of Elvis Presley’s TCB Band. He played on 20 of Presley’s recordings and accompanied him on 45 live performances until Presley’s death in 1977. Ogdin’s piano playing was dubbed over archival footage of Presley’s vocals on “Unchained Melody” in the 2022 feature film “Elvis,” directed by Baz Luhrmann. Ogdin’s experiences during the Presley tours were documented in a four-part video interview series by Billy Stallings. In his career, which spanned over four decades as a studio musician, Ogdin recorded with country artists such as Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, George Jones, The Judds, Kenny Chesney, Ray Charles, and Ronnie Milsap. In rock music, he was a member of the Marshall Tucker Band for five years (1984–1989) after some of the original members left. He also recorded and performed with the alternative rock band Ween.

Ginger Holladay

1969 – American Sound Studios in Memphis, Tennessee – Elvis Presley was working on his mega comeback, recording hits like “Suspicious Minds,” “In the Ghetto,” “Don’t Cry Daddy,” and “Any Day Now.” Joining him were the two incredibly talented young sisters, Ginger and Mary Holladay. The rest is music history! Until 1975, the Holladay Sisters accompanied the King in the studio and went on to work with superstars like Cher, Kenny Rogers, Etta James, Marty Robbins, Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, and countless others!

Terry Blackwood

Terry Blackwood is a member of the famous Blackwood Family, who were superstars in the American South as the “Blackwood Brothers” in the early 1950s. Elvis Presley was a fan of the Blackwood Brothers in his youth and brought Terry Blackwood into the studio for his gospel album in 1965, and even to Las Vegas in 1969 – live on stage! Meanwhile, Terry Blackwood and his Imperials have won four Grammy Awards and are members of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.

Larry Strickland

In 1974, Larry Strickland became a member of the legendary gospel group “JD Summner & Stamps Quartet.” This also meant that Larry was now with the “King of Rock and Roll” both on the road and in the studio. He accompanied Elvis on his last recording sessions—the Jungle Room Sessions—at Graceland and performed live with Elvis until his final concert in June 1977!

Thomas Gabriel

Thomas Gabriel from Nashville captivates audiences with his authentic country sound and commanding stage presence. Together with his band, The Tennessee Four, the country singer tours internationally, keeping his family’s musical legacy alive. As the eldest grandson of country legend Johnny Cash, Thomas Gabriel primarily performs his grandfather’s unforgettable songs, complemented by a selection of his own compositions.

Donna Rhodes & The Morris Family

When American gospel spirit meets rock ‘n’ roll and soul, it’s time for the Morris Family from Nashville, Tennessee! Over the years, Dennis has been joined by extraordinary special guests, including the Vienna Symphony Orchestra’s string section, The Sweet Inspirations, and for over a decade, Elvis’s Grammy Award-winning gospel choir, The Imperials. In 2027, the TCB Cruise audience can look forward to a very special guest: Donna Rhodes, a true music legend, will be joining the tour. As a background singer for Elvis Presley, she shaped global hits like “Suspicious Minds,” “In the Ghetto,” “Don’t Cry Daddy,” and “Kentucky Rain.” In the 1970s, she also collaborated with icons such as Al Green, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Paul Anka, and Roy Orbison. She is accompanied by her husband, Craig Morris, who worked with Ray Charles both in the studio and live on stage in the 1980s and also with Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. The musical family ensemble is completed by their highly talented singing children, Sam and Savannah Morris.

Kerry Marx

Marx toured with artists such as Ray Price (1979-1981), Jerry Reed (1981-1983), Razzy Bailey (1983-1984), Ronnie Milsap (1984-1987), Johnny Cash (1989-1992), Toby Keith and Shania Twain (1993), Don McLean (2001-2023), Lee Ann Womack (2004), Porter Wagoner (2006), Steve Wariner (2006–2007), Lynda Carter (2008–2022), Olivia Newton-John (2012–2018), Johnny Mathis (2016–2024). A review of a 1986 benefit concert for Ronnie Milsap in Durham, North Carolina, noted that despite the country influences, “other aspects of the performance were more like a rock concert, such as Kerry Marx’s rousing guitar solo.” He became well known for his contribution to Cash’s song “I’m an Easy Rider” from the 1991 album *The Mystery of Life*, which was described as a “road song featuring Kerry Marx’s distinctive and double-played baritone guitar playing.” In 2000, he was the lead guitarist for the TNN band “Prime Time Country.” A 2001 review of the Grand Ole Opry house band highlighted that “pianist Tim Atwood and guitarist Kerry Marx play with exceptional taste, feeling, and soul.” Marx has composed and performed for major television networks, notably for the Lionel Richie Special (2012), Hannah Montana, the American Music Awards (2005–2017), the Billboard Music Awards (2012–2022), the Academy of Country Music Awards (2003–2022), CMA Christmas (2012–2019), the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards (2011–2021), the 1992 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, and the 1985 Grammy Awards. In collaboration with Lynda Carter, Marx also composed original music for the video game Fallout 4 (2015). In 2020, he contributed to a Christmas project for sisters Kandy Isley and Kim Johnson. In February 2021, Marx was one of four members of the Opry house band, playing electric guitar, who were hired at Daywind Studios in Hendersonville, Tennessee, to record the Darin & Brooke Aldridge song “Grand Ole Circle”. In March 2023, Marx was inducted into the South Carolina Entertainment & Music Hall of Fame for his musical career. In May 2023, he toured Australia with Don McLean. In November 2024, Marx performed with Josh Rawlings during a sailing trip through the Raja Ampat archipelago in Indonesia. According to Joe Glaser, these performances included several improvisational moments that “changed the music in ways that will not be understood for millennia to come”.

Larry is a veteran composer, arranger, and keyboard player from Nashville, TN. Larry has arranged for a variety of artists including  Leon Russell, Kenny Rogers, Ronnie Milsap, The Ides of March, Bonnie Tyler, Randy Travis, The Gaither Vocal Band, The Doobie Brothers, Toby Keith, Ray Price, Phil Keaggy, Restless Heart and Little Big Town. Dennis Jale

Dennis Jale is internationally recognized as one of Austria’s most renowned rock ‘n’ roll entertainers. In the mid-1990s, he co-founded the Jam Gang with guitarist Goran Mikulec. Among the most successful highlights of his busy concert schedule are the Rocking Christmas Shows with the Imperials, Elvis Presley’s original backing vocalists. Since 2003, Dennis Jale has performed with the TCB Band, Elvis Presley’s original musicians, in Europe’s largest concert halls. But Dennis Jale has also proven himself as a songwriter. His CDs feature not only reinterpretations of cover songs but also original compositions that showcase the multifaceted musical talent of this multi-talented artist.

N!DDL

Viennese charm collides head-on with the raw energy of Tina Turner. NIDDL delivers a performance that is both charming and explosive. A unique stage moment unfolds, a blend of playful humor and powerful energy. Raw, honest, authentic, and captivating, the sound immediately draws the audience in. An act that proves Vienna is capable of more than just subtle melodies.

Sam's Fever

The group “Sam’s Fever” was founded in 2012 with the idea of interpreting the music of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll in their own unique way. In 2015, the band presented this idea at the first Elvis Music Contest as part of the 14th European Elvis Festival. They impressed the audience and the jury with their interpretation and took first place. Sam’s Fever did not go unnoticed by Elvis fans. Their activity and uncompromising dedication to Elvis’s music brought them closer to Dennis Jale and, not least, to the Elvis musicians themselves, leading to several joint performances. A genuine friendship has developed between the artists. The band Sam’s Fever will present their own interpretations of Elvis songs at several concerts on the TCB World Cruise, with the following categories: “Elvis’ Lovesongs”, “The Rock’n’roll Story”, “Aloha From Hawaii Edition”, “Sam’s Fever with Friends – Sing Like The King” and “Elvis in Hollywood”.
